Questions and answers.
Plain answers about programs, applying, learning, jobs and certificates. Where a detail is not confirmed yet, the answer says so.
General
Ticker Academy is a training academy for AI, machine learning, data science and forward deployed engineering. You learn step by step, build real-time projects and have your work checked by a working engineer. The 100% job enablement program prepares you for the job search.
Fresh graduates, working professionals who want to upskill or change career, AI and ML engineers who want to become forward deployed engineers, managers, and companies training their teams. Each group has its own page.
In a course you mostly watch. Here you build. Every week you build something, a working engineer checks it and you fix what they find. You also get the 100% job enablement program, and technical support after you join a job.
A tick is one small, exact step. A ticker keeps going. That is how we teach: one step every week, until you can do the job.
Admissions
New batches start through the year. Apply and we send you the next start date for your program.
Fill in the application. It has three short steps: about you, your background, and a review. We reply by email with the program that fits and the next start date.
It depends on the program. AI and Machine Learning and Data Science start from basic programming and school math. AI Engineering expects you to write code already. Forward Deployed Engineer expects experience with AI systems. Never written code? Start with Reskilling.
Use the path finder on the home page, or choose "Not sure yet" in the application and tell us where you are now. We reply with the program that fits and the reason.
Only if you ask us to. We reply by email.
Yes. If you have never written code, start with Reskilling: it begins with the first line of code. If you can code a little, start with AI and Machine Learning or Data Science.
Programs
Four job-focused programs: AI and Machine Learning, Data Science, AI Engineering and Forward Deployed Engineer. There is also a program for managers, private training for company teams, and shorter upskilling and reskilling paths.
AI and Machine Learning teaches how AI models work and how to train and test them. AI Engineering teaches how to build apps on top of models. The first is about the model. The second is about the app around it.
From 1 month to 6 months, depending on the program.
Yes. Each program page shows sample weeks: the topic, and what you build. The full syllabus is published on the same page once it is confirmed.
You should be able to write a small program on your own: read a file, use a loop, write a function, fix an error. Never written code? Start with Reskilling.
School-level algebra is enough to start. The program teaches the rest at the point where you need it.
A little. You should know basic Python, or be ready to learn it in the first weeks.
It goes further. Analytics reports what happened. Data science tests why it happened and what is likely to happen next.
It covers the part every analysis needs: moving data from where it is stored to where it is used, reliably.
People who want to build apps with AI models. If you can write code, AI engineering adds what an AI app needs: search, testing, hosting and monitoring. It suits software engineers, data scientists and machine learning engineers.
No. You need to write working code. The program teaches what you need to know about models as you use them.
Yes. Writing instructions for a model, giving it your documents, letting it use tools and testing its answers are the core of the program.
Python is used throughout. If you work in another language, the ideas carry over.
Only if you want to learn how models work inside before you build with them. Many software engineers start with AI Engineering and learn the rest later.
Learning
The same four steps every week. Learn: the topic is taught step by step. Build: you build it yourself, with help when you are stuck. Review: a working engineer checks your work. Show: you show it working in front of your group.
Complete projects, built the way they are built at work. You start from a real problem and finish with something that works. A working engineer checks each one, and you can show them in interviews.
Help from a mentor when you face a technical problem. During the training, a mentor helps when you are stuck. After you join a job, the mentoring continues.
Forward deployed engineering
An engineer who works with a customer, inside the customer's systems, until an AI product does real work there.
Yes. You should have trained a model, or built an app around one. If you have not, take AI Engineering or AI and Machine Learning first.
Often, yes. The work happens where the customer is, in person or online, and follows the customer's hours and deadlines. It suits people who like variety.
No. A solutions engineer shows that a product fits a need, usually before a sale. A forward deployed engineer builds and sets up the working system after the sale, and writes the code to do it.
Yes, every week. It is an engineering job. The difference is that the requirements come from a customer you work with directly.
For AI products, yes. You need to understand how AI systems behave and fail. AI Engineering teaches that, and it is the usual step before the Forward Deployed Engineer program.
From product companies that sent engineers to work on site with customers instead of only handing over software. AI product companies now hire for it, because AI systems need the same closeness to real data and real users.
It depends on how much of the system you build today. If you train models but others handle search, testing and hosting, AI Engineering fills those gaps. If you build all of it, go straight to Forward Deployed Engineer.
No. The program teaches it: understanding the need, working inside customer systems and agreeing what done means.
Careers
It is the part of every job-focused program that gets you ready for the job search. It includes resume help, mock interviews and referrals to hiring companies.
Yes. The 100% job enablement program gives you resume help, mock interviews and referrals to hiring companies. We make you job-ready. The job offer comes from the employer, so no academy can honestly guarantee one.
No, and no honest academy can. We make you job-ready with resume help, mock interviews and referrals to hiring companies. The job offer comes from the employer.
Machine learning engineer, data scientist or data analyst, AI engineer and forward deployed engineer. Each program page names the job it prepares you for.
Yes. Technical support continues after you join a job: a mentor keeps guiding you.

Working professionals
The programs and the shorter paths are planned to run beside a job.
With Reskilling. It starts from the basics and moves you into a full program when you are ready.
Yes. Reskilling starts from the first line of code.
The one that fits the job you want. We help you choose during the basics stage.
Graduates
If you can code a little, start with AI and Machine Learning or Data Science. If you have never written code, start with Reskilling. The page for fresh graduates compares them.
No. What matters is that you are ready to learn programming and some math. If you have never written code, start with Reskilling: it begins with the first line of code.
Real-time projects that you built yourself, the code behind them and a short write-up of each one.
Managers
Judge an AI proposal, ask a team the right questions, estimate what a project needs and set sensible rules for how AI is used in your organization.
No. The program is for people who manage teams, budgets or products. You do not write code.
Yes. See Enterprise upskilling for private training.
Companies
Send the team form on the Companies page. We reply with questions about your team and a first plan.
Yes. That is the idea.
They usually need different training built around one shared problem. We plan both in the first step.
Online learning
Both. You can learn online or in the classroom.
Certification
You receive a Ticker Academy certificate when you complete a program.
The Forward Deployed Engineer program also prepares you for certification exams such as Claude Certified Architect. Each exam is run by the company that owns it. That company sets the rules for who can register, so check its current rules before you plan for an exam.
Both help, in different ways. A certificate shows that you finished. A project that works shows what you can do, and interviewers usually ask about your projects.
